In the B flight, Jim McHugh from 22 engine, shot a net 64 to take first place. Engine 17 member, Terry Smerdel, took second place with a net 65. Tied for third place with a net score of 67 were Larry Zammarchi, Dave Thompson, and Brendan Ward. We also wanted to thank all members who made the tournament and brought guests. Over the years, our membership has declined. We have a great relationship with Silverado Country club and would like to continue to play there. This can only happen if we continue to show support for the country club by having a large turnout. Thanks again for your support.

During the tournament, we also ran the local qualifying for the NCGA net amateur championship. This tournament is divided into three flights based on handicap index. The three winners were Jerry Hess, Dave Jackson, and Terry Smerdel. They will move on to sectional qualifying in August. Congratulations and good luck!!!

Half way through the season, we have a tight race in the A flight. Jerry Hess is leading with 21.5 points. Four points behind is Al Hunt at 17.5. In third is Arnie Lee, 15.5, followed by John Won, 14.5, Jack Strange, 14, Travis Rail and Tony Hampton, 13, and George Garcia, 12.5.

In the B flight, Terry Smerdel is running away with first place and the club championship with 30 points. Second place is Ramon Chea with 21, followed by Dave Thompson, 19, Jerry Sullivan, 18, Mike Kearney and Leo Tingin, 16.5, and Tony Bendik, 15.5.
