Date: Sunday, September 9, 2001 Special Guest: Harry Paretchen will be honored for his thirty plus years as an Elected Employee Representative of the Health Service System Please try to attend our Sept. 9 meeting. We will have an update on the proposed Prop C COLA adjustment Charter Amendment. Candidates for the various City & State Offices will be invited. City Ballot Propositions will also be discussed. Remember, large audiences always impress candidates. If necessary, we will have an update on the H.S.S. Request For Support. There is still an outstanding debt of $80,000 incurred during the last successful campaign for Proposition E. As a method of retiring this debt we are recommending to our members that they participate in the “Great Car Sweepstakes Raffle.” (An application flyer is on page 19) Only 2000 tickets will be sold. Price of the ticket is $50.00. The winner has a choice of receiving either $25,000 cash or a new For Mustang. Dates to remember: Sept. 9, General Meeting. Oct. 18, Raffle drawing.
