Around The Green

WELCOME SFFD GOLFERS
TO 2002
This year we hope to have an exciting year. I believe our very first tournament will point us in the right direction. Chardonnay Golf Club is a spectacular venue. Our awards banquet immediately follows the tournament and is included in the fee.

Now for the big kicker, we have the rare opportunity to play on their Shakespeare Course, which is not open to the public.

We’re hoping to get a large turnout, so we are opening it up to guest play. Bring a guest out to play and enjoy a great meal.

For the people interested in playing for our club 2-man team, the qualifying round, will be played during this tournament. So get your team together and get a chance to play for the club.

ATTENTION:

WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT ONE OF OUR OWN SFFD’S FINEST, EARL STEWART, IS LAST YEAR NCGA’S SENIOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE GOLF CLUB.

It is now official, the lad’s at Station 17 are going to run the RENO GOLF TRIP. After many years of being handled by Les Terry and Jim Hentz, we are undertaking the difficult job of filling their shoes. Les Terry informed us that this trip has been on going for over 30 years.

If you like to have a good time you should consider attending this monumental tradition. We also have quite a few non-golfers that attend every year. So call and inquire about this trip.

I personally would like to take this opportunity to thank Les and Jim for hosting this event for so many years. The torch has been passed on once again and hopefully we can uphold this great tradition.

If you have not called about April’s Golf Trip (Monterey) we have only a few spots left. CALL NOW!!! Please note by the time you read this there may not be any spots left. Just a reminder the golf number is 415-822-9500.

In closing, here’s to a fun and competitive 2002 Golf Year.
