Another Year Another Party

| “Another year another party.” NOT this year! For those of us who attended the 9th annual Bimbo’s Firefighters’ party benefiting the Toy Program a new attendance record and new level of success has been reached. The party hit roughly 760 dancing/hydrating animals. Egged on by the feature band WONDERBREAD 5, the dance floor was never empty all night long. Large Afro wigs, a great show, and hundreds of firefighters brought the energy level to all time records.
Another big surprise was our very own SF Firefighters Ultimate Garage Band! GREAT JOB guys! We were very impressed and thanks to you the dancing started off very early. Many great stories, new dance moves, and post party memory lapses also contributed to the parties’ success. The party also raised a significant amount of money for our Toy Program. The 400 tickets available in the field sold in just under a week. A good point to remember for next year. As for 2005, this will be our 10th annual, with John Kosta, John Rocco, and Frank Roldan running our department’s biggest party. As a final surprise, John Kosta’s original HOUSEQUAKE band will be doing their final show at the party. The party plans are already in motion and we plan to break all attendance records for next year. Round up all your friends and bring everyone you know to the 10th anniversary party. It will definitely have a few surprises and you won’t want to miss it. As for now thanks again for coming out and partying with us, and thanks for all the support you’ve shown over the years for our Dept. and our Toy Program. |
