Surviving Families Fund

San Francisco Firefighters Local 798 established the

San Francisco Firefighters Local 798 Surviving Families Fund

as a non-profit charitable organization and a fund-raising program

for the purpose of providing financial assistance to families of persons

who have died while actively employed as firefighters in the United States. 

The Surviving Families Fund seeks public and private charitable activities.

How did the Surviving Families Fund begin?

The fund was formed after the tragedy of September 11, 2001 in order to help a larger surviving family base.

Who are the trustees of the fund?

Active firefighters and clergy

Does the fund have any paid employees?

No, we do not have any paid employees.  All donations made to the fund go directly toward supporting surviving families of people who have died while actively employed as firefighters in the United States.

Is the San Francisco Firefighters Surviving Families Fund a non-profit foundation?

Yes, we are a 501 ( c) (3) and we are registered with the State of California.
